The experience

The Seven Sisters is a serious full-day mountain journey through the high country of the Derryveagh Mountains. The day links a succession of summits across remote, largely pathless terrain, with far-reaching views over lakes, valleys, coastline and the surrounding peaks. This is the most demanding of the three flagship experiences. Long ascents, repeated height gain, bog, rock and exposed mountain ground require excellent fitness, sound hillwalking experience and the ability to keep moving for a sustained day. The exact route, number of summits and timings are always determined by weather, visibility, ground conditions and the group. A shorter or lower alternative may be used when required for safety.

Mixed: steps, rocky, muddy, grassy, soft and wet ground.
